Around Easter time we were looking for ways to generate media coverage for one of our clients, The Finch.
A Sydney cafe had already announced they were creating a hot cross bun ice-cream sandwhich, so we thought we would do one better!
We worked with our client to develop an Easter special and decided on a coffee (or hot chocolate for the kids) served inside a chocolate egg.
It wasn't only just a great idea, it tasted amazing!
So, we wrote a media release and pitched it to the local media. We also leveraged our relationship with the radio station and developed an entire campaign.
Hamish, Radio Announcer for Hit FM spoke to our client on the breakfast show and agreed to come down to the cafe to taste test this creation.
“This tops my usual flat white, the taste is out of this world,” he said.
“I’m a coffee person, but I’m also a chocolate person and this is just a new way of life,” added Hamish.
The cafe continued to serve the 'eggstra special treat' right through the long weekend.
