Round Square Marketing dreamed up and executed a community event that enhanced the overall appeal and profile of the FKG Tour of Toowoomba but also stood alone as a highlight in Toowoomba’s event calendar.
Positioned next to the finishing point of the final stage of the Tour in picturesque Queens Park, the event was a celebration for the entire community – from the kids, to the adults who enjoyed an exclusive lunch in the corporate marquee.
With logistics that included establishing a big screen in the park so attendees could watch the tour, a reptile education show, bicycle stunts, raffles and kids’ entertainment this event showcased our exceptional organisational and stakeholder liaison skills.
We coordinated some of the region’s best food producers, including Phat Burgers, Fitzy's and the Best Dumplings and secured sponsorships from notable Toowoomba businesses including New Hope Group, Hot FM, Telstra, NRG Electrical and Stonestreet Coaches.
As far as the kids were concerned though, our biggest coup was getting the Bananas in Pyjamas to appear live on stage – an achievement we’re incredibly proud of.

I’ve worked closely with the team at Round Square Marketing for the FKG Tour of Toowoomba Day in the Park community event. As a committee member for this event it’s been pleasure working with Round Square Marketing as they have handled pretty much all of the detail. They’ve worked with the Toowoomba Regional Council for permits, organised vendors, insurance, staging, entertainment and the list goes on. Basically, this event would not have gone ahead without their hard work.
